A metalhead joint tour from the heavens
Metalhead bands Deftones and Rise Against have announced a joint tour later this year in June and early July, with Thrice joining them as support, hitting Pepsi Center in Denver, CO, Closed June 30, 2017 Deftones' eighth studio album Gore was released in April 2016 to critical acclaim, debuting at No. 1 on New Zealand and Australia's top album charts and No. 2 on the US Billboard 200.
Forerunners of the heavy riffage and melodious vocals of the Cali alt-metal scene, Deftones first unleashed their musical fury on the world with their debut album Adrenaline in 1995, but it was the release of their second album Around The Fur that propelled them to stardom, with radio and MTV endorsement. The band's creative juxtaposition of wild angst and sonorous serenity has seen them solidify their status as an indelible part of the modern rock landscape.
Rise Against, the Chicago-born melodic hardcore band, released their seventh studio album in 2014, entitled The Black Market, also debuting high in the US Billboard 200 chart upon release.
It was an album which continued the group's ascent into the upper echelons of modern day American punk music that had begun with The Unravelling thirteen yeasr previously. The Black market once again showcased the band's ecological and environmental philosophies, with tracks like People Live Here and The Eco-Terrorist in Me.
