Ode to joy

Splendour fills Boettcher Hall this May as the Colorado Symphony Chorus joins the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, and a raft of top vocalists, all under the baton of Peter Oundjian, for a spectacular performance of Beethoven's tremendously spine-tingling Symphony No. 9, including the rousing Ode to Joy.

A declaration of universal brotherhood in the face of Europe's oppressive political environment at the time of its writing, the symphony is home to one of the most recognizable passages of music of all time, the Ode To Joy. The glorious choral masterwork is bound to raise spirits and send audiences home renewed and refreshed.
