Why see Colorado Symphony Orchestra - Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue?

New season

The Colorado Symphony Orchestra and Principal Conductor Peter Oundjian usher in the 2022/23 season with this riotously entertaining program, headlined by George Gershwin's boiling pot of jazz, classical, and Broadway; Rhapsody in Blue. Described by Gershwin as "a sort of musical kaleidoscope of America, of our vast melting pot, of our unduplicated national pep, of our metropolitan madness." it had sold a million copies by 1927 and cemented it as an audience favorite, a legacy that lasts to this day.
