ALICE (in wonderland) was created and choreographed by the world-renowned Septime Webre, who is the mastermind behind striking creations including Romeo+Juliet and a dazzling adaptation of Hemingway's The Sun Also Rises. The much beloved Alice's Adventures in Wonderland was published in 1865 by then Oxford University Mathematics Lecturer Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, better known as Lewis Carroll. The story became one of the key examples of the Literary Nonsense genre. In the novel, a young girl Alice falls through a rabbit hole into a fantastical and surreal world filled with anthropomorphic creatures, a tempestuous queen, and all kinds of magical oddities.
