Blazing rock
I thought both bands were great. They left it all on the stage. Deep
Purple's bass was a little too much in the mix and messed with the
vocal sound at first but that got fixed. Great selection of tunes from

Drive-Bys Performances
Concerts today are all brief, rushed experiences. Bands play
approximately an hour. 10 to 12 songs. Judas Priest and Deep Purple
were no different. While the concert was very much worth the 'Face-
Value' price of admission, with each band appearing to enthusiastically
perform their sets, the whole thing felt and sounded rushed.
Whatever became of 2 hour plus shows with multiple encores, wherein
bands could perform almost their entire known catalog 'jamming' deep
into each song's personality.
The above seems to no longer exist, rather today everything is a rush to
get on and off the stage. Live music fans, supporting live music with their
time and money, deserve more than glimpsed Drive-Bys. ... Read more
